Tenant Move-in

You've found a property...

We will ask you to complete our tenants guide in order to put your offer forward

If your offer is acceptable

We will need to conduct a right to rent check by obtaing your photo ID and proof of address.

Photo ID

  • Current Passport
  • Current Driving Licence

Proof of Address
  • Utility bill with name and current living address included

If your offer is NOT acceptable, we will discuss this with you and explain the reasons why.

Holding deposit

You will receive an invitaion from our tenant application portal, we recommend checking your junk emails

Next, your holding deposit will be requested and this is paid through the tenant portal

The holding deposit is equivalent to 1 week's rent (monthly rent x 12/52)

References

A link to start your references will be sent and we ask this is completed within 24 hours.

Your dedicated tenancy progressor will contact you and will maintain regular contact, including the outcome of your reference check.

If your references are satisfactory, we will contact you to confirm your move in date and start preparing the tenancy agreement

If your references are NOT satisfactory, we will contact you to discuss this further

You've received a move in date...

You will receive an email to confirm your tenancy agreement is ready to review and sign

Tenancy pack

With your move in date fast approaching, please make payment via the tenant portal within 24 hours of receiving the payment request.

You will receive your tenancy pack, including the signed agreement, How to Rent Guide, Energy Performance Certificate, Electrical Installation Condition Report, Deposit Certificate (if applicable) and Gas Safety Certificate (if applicable).

Final preparations!

Your tenancy progressor will be in touch to confirm a convenient time for key collection at the office

We will be starting to get the property ready for your impending move, an inventory (if applicable) will be completed the day before you move in.

If Jones Robinson are managing the property... your dedicated Property Manager will be in touch to introduce themselves

If your landlord manages the property... we will provide you with their details, they will be your direct contact throughout the tenancy.
